The swing of the rope in the table place is the most difficult to execute with this apparatus, because the rope is so flexible. The sway from side to side is not practical, although a full turn can be achieved with an open rope, this is best linked with another movement such as a half spiral or a wrap.

Both of these are basic moves, the half spiral consisting merely of a full circle of both arms overhead and around the body, with the arms apart. If swinging to the left, take the right arm high and the left arm low out to the left side and around to the back, then drop the right arm low and bring the left arm overhead to get the rope back to the front.

Now, keeping the arms wide, and approximately at shoulder height, turn to the left and the rope will float around you. This could be followed by a wrap. At the end of the turn, as you are returning to face forwards, place the right arm across the front of the body with the right hand on the left side of your waist and holding your left arm high in the air, circle the rope around your waist two or three times until it is wrapped.

To unwrap, swing the rope in reverse, and follow with a spiral, a turn, a wrap in the opposite direction or join the ends together to fold the rope, holding both ends in one hand and circling it overhead helicopter fashion.

The helicopter swing itself can be used to swing:

1. Overhead with a balance, a bend, or travel.

2. Around the waist with a balance or steps.

3. Under the feet with a jump or leap

4. Around the feet or legs during a shoulder stand

These are just a few suggestions, there are many other, and you should create your own movement combinations.
